This low water design blends the owners' modern style with a need for low maintenance plants and privacy. Limiting the use of mulch was a top priority for this landscape by adding spreading ground cover that will fill in the space. Clean simple lines are used around the border which flow into a softer California garden and meandering center of the landscape. Animals are deterred from using the property as a restroom with barrier plants and cobbles. An intimate courtyard is hidden behind a modern fence that is balanced on either side of the walkway stairs.
